In the current mechanism, if a message is posted via ("Control")+"Enter", the approach to solve inserted line breaks is to look whether a line break is one position behind the caret.

It could be proven that the following action removes one line break too much:

Open Envoy with contact
Disable "enter to send" in the settings
Write message with line break (do not send)
position caret behind line break
press "Control" + "Enter"
Enjoy!
